Summary: Golf is 4+ hours of standing, walking and twisting — hard on a lower back over 50. Here’s why golfers wear the Neurogena back support belt to stay on their feet for the whole round, rated 4.7 stars from 627+ reviews, plus the one honest reason it might not be for you.

1. Last All 18 Holes Without Hunting for a Bench

A round is 4+ hours on your feet and 4–6 miles of walking. By the back nine, the small muscles that hold your lower spine steady are tired. The Neurogena belt wraps your lower back in firm, even support, so those muscles don’t have to carry the whole round alone — and you can stay on your feet instead of looking for the cart seat.

2. Support Through Every Swing

The golf swing is a fast, forceful twist of the lower back. Repeat it 40+ times a round and a sudden rotation is often when a tired back tweaks. The belt’s curved back panel and side wraps keep your lower back braced while you rotate, so you can swing with more confidence instead of holding back.

3. Hides Right Under Your Golf Shirt

Slim, stitch-free fabric that disappears under a polo. Nobody in your foursome needs to know you’re wearing it. It’s breathable enough for a warm afternoon and low-profile enough to wear under a golf shirt or a light sweater.

Step 1: wrap the Neurogena belt around your lower back Step 2: pull the cord to tighten the belt Step 3: pull your golf shirt down over the belt

4. On in 30 Seconds, Adjust Between Shots

Wrap it, pull the cord, done. The pulley system tightens the belt evenly with a single pull, and loosens just as fast — so you can snug it up before a long walk and ease it off while you wait on the tee. Sizes fit waists from small up to 3XL/4XL.

5. Why You Shouldn’t Buy It: The Price Tag

Let’s be honest — this is not a cheap belt. For a lot of people, spending over $100 on back support is too much. But golfers aren’t most people: according to the National Golf Foundation, golfers’ household incomes run well above the U.S. average, and the game itself isn’t cheap — green fees, carts, balls, gloves, a new driver every few seasons. Next to what a season of golf costs, the belt is one of the least expensive things in your bag. So why pay for all of it if you can’t enjoy the round because your back hurts by the 12th hole?

This is a well built, well designed back support brace. It's fairly substantial at almost 9 inches tall. The belt like brace has a very strong velcro band which overlaps and secures the brace in place. There are a couple of auxiliary bands to make it even a bit tighter but I found the unit to be very snug without them. I will admit that I do not play golf and the product implies that it is excellent for that usage BUT I did wear this brace when visiting a trade show which had me walking and remaining upright for a few hours and the back brace was a substantial plus that allowed me to continue where I would have probably had to stop much sooner. While no such device will eliminate back discomfort totally or permanently this brace did do a pretty decent job of giving much needed support. Also there is mention of being able to wear it under a shirt and I have included a photo of myself wearing the brace under a shirt and it was not readily notieable and fairly comfortable to the point that I forgot I was wearing it. I give this brace a "Thumbs Up" recommendation for doing what it says it does and I consider it a good purchase for anyone needing such support. Customer wearing the brace under his shirt

I can stand and walk longer while wearing the brace. It gives great support and I am glad I ordered after reading so many helpful reviews.

Product works as described. Sizing was fairly accurate. I’m 6’2”, 300lbs and ordered an XL and it fit perfectly. Straps are securing. Velcro is high quality. I have used it on my morning gym routines and it provides tons of support for my lumbar and sciatic. Would recommend!

In the early 90's I wore these back braces daily building homes. Mainly while framing walls and being bent over all day. 1 thing that was must was having a back brace that stretched. A rigid brace works great if you don't need to bend. This brace has some stretchiness to it like those I wore in construction which allow you to bend over. With that said this brace is the perfect design for me working in healthcare. I push a machine daily, sit and bend a lot. AND you can really get it tight. The key is overlapping the brace snug before you add the outer stretchy adjusters. Make sure the adjusters are not attached to the belt at all and let them hang to the side. When you have the belt fitted then add the side adjusters and pull them to disired tightness. If I'm out running errands I adjust it as tight as it will go. So far no tears and the velcro is staying attached. Great buy!!
